Frequently Asked Questions
What if the tour I want to take is sold out?
We hold 3 tours per day, so chances are a tour at a different time is available. And, there is always a chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please email or call us to check availability.
How much food is served on the food tour?
We taste 6-8 food items during the tour. We want our guests to enjoy all the items on the tour, so portions are not large. For many, the tour can be a light breakfast or lunch.
Does the tour leader accept gratuities?
Tips are not included in the cost of the tour, and are always greatly appreciated.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
When booking please notify us dietary restrictions. We will make every effort to accommodate your special food needs.
Are there vegetarian options on the tour?
Some items on the tour include fish, dairy products and meat. When booking please notify us so that we may arrange vegetarian alternatives.
What restaurants do we visit on the tour?
The tour includes visits to a variety of shops and informal eating establishments. We do not visit restaurants, but our knowledgable guide will highlight our favorite restaurants and chefs, their menus and signature dishes, as we pass by.
Can I shop on the tour?
Our tour is designed to provide our guests with comprehensive introduction to the Market, so time at shops and eating establishments is limited. So that the tour remains on schedule, we ask that our guests refrain from shopping during the tour. Our guides will gladly recommend favorite shopping destinations to visit after the tour.
What about taking children on the tour?
Children of all ages are welcome. Tickets are required for children except infants or very young children who will not be tasting items on the tour. Reservations are required for all children including infants.
We will be walking throughout the Market during much of the tour. Some areas we visit may not be suitable for baby strollers or very young children as the Market includes hills, stairs and cobblestone streets.
Can pets come on the tour?
Seattle is a very pet friendly city, but we ask that owners do not bring pets.
Does the tour end at the same place we meet?
Starting location and ending location are different.
How much walking is involved? Is it a fast-paced tour?
We will be walking about half the time. The pace is not strenuous, but between stops we will be exploring the market.
Is there parking nearby the tour meeting point?
Yes, there is parking nearby. Information on parking will be provided upon ticket purchase.
